Lobster Safety:

Lobster seasons finally here and many divers are already going out for their prized catch. Due to the influx of divers and fishing boats, there are many conflicts that can occur. Here are 4 things to keep you and those around you safe.

1. DO NOT DIVE ALONE. Although this may sound obvious, most diving accidents during lobster season happens when the diver is alone. BUDDY SYSTEM BUDDY SYSTEM BUDDY SYSTEM!!!

2. Don't go diving in unfamiliar locations. If you do find a spot you wanna checkout, go during the day to familiarize the dive site and come back later at night!

3. Inform someone at home about your dive plan. This may seem simple but this could determine life or death. The more information people have about your whereabouts the better.

4. Understand and familiarize yourself with the laws and regulations. Check the Department of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) website for details

Otherwise good luck, have fun and tag us in any awesome pics of your catches!
