What a blast! The first-ever Women’s Dive Day at Hotel Figueroa in Downtown LA was off the charts, and we’re thrilled to spill the highlights. Missed it this year? No worries—next year’s event is set to be even bigger and better. Here’s why you’ll want to mark your calendar for next summer!

A Poolside Paradise

On July 20th, 2024, La Casita Poolside Lounge and Bar transformed into the ultimate summer hotspot. From noon to 4 PM, dive fans and newbies alike gathered to celebrate women in diving in a stunning poolside setting. It was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation!

Mermaid Magic

The Mermaid Experience stole the show! Attendees got to slip into a mermaid tail and glide through the pool with certified mermaid instructors. It was a whimsical touch that added a splash of fantasy to the day.

Sip, Savor, and Socialize 

The event was a treat for the taste buds. Guests enjoyed bottomless beer, wine, and mouthwatering appetizers while soaking up the chic poolside vibes. Summer cocktails were on point, and every sip supported Heal the Bay’s vital marine conservation work.

Scuba Fun for All 

Whether you’re a seasoned diver or just curious, the pool was decked out with ScubaPro gear for everyone to try. With expert dive instructors on hand, it was a safe and thrilling chance to dive in.

Prize Bonanza 

The free raffle drew tons of excitement with high-ticket prizes like a brand-new ScubaPro regulator and an overnight stay at Hotel Figueroa. It was the cherry on top of an already fantastic day!

Women Making Waves 

Women’s Dive Day was a powerful celebration of the incredible women driving the world of scuba diving. From pioneers like Sylvia Earle and Dottie Frazier to today’s trailblazers, their impact on marine conservation and diving is truly inspiring.
