Gear Check: Scubapro Exodry Drysuit

For many divers especially in California, the colder months can be discouraging to come out diving. Even the thick 7mm wetsuits aren't enough to keep many people warm during these times. Recreational divers in certain parts of the world are now making the switch to drysuits. When shopping for a new drysuit the very first thing to decide is are you going all the way out to get a $4000 custom fitted end game drysuit or go for the best bang for your buck. If the best bang for your buck is the way to go, the Scubapro Exodry Suit could be the drysuit for you.

The Scubapro Exodry comes built with 4mm pre-compressed neoprene which is perfect for California but is important to keep in mind that neoprene will not work in extreme cold such as Greenland but also has many positive aspects. Neoprene dry suits will provide more trim and make it easier to swim especially against any current. Neoprene also allows the user to use a thinner layer underneath and not have to worry about a thick undergarment.

The Drysuit also comes built in with durable semi-rigid boots with a nice flexible sole to give you the best experience both in the water and on land. Both arms come built in with watch strap holders to keep your computer safe from falling off.

The Exodry comes in at 1587 which compared to their semi-dry suit is an amazing deal. No other dry suit offers divers as much as the Exodry and is a great gateway to the drysuit world. This suit comes highly recommended for recreational divers looking to stay warm especially during the cold months.
