Sunny and mild. For the TV weatherman, that’s pretty much the forecast for almost every day of the year in Southern California, but when you’re a scuba diver, you need to get a more complete look at the conditions. Check out our local conditions page to see what’s happening on the ocean so you’ll be properly prepared to dive beneath the waves.

Come one and all. The Eco Dive Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at the shop and you’re invited. Come to the shop and enjoy a presentation by one of our guest speakers, talk to Eco staff and instructors, see old dive buddies and meet make new ones. Club meetings are free, there’s pizza and you get a chance to win something in the raffle. |

Imagine you’re doing your dive when your buddy turns to you and makes a gesture with one hand. Did that mean “I’m low on air” or “That Philly Cheese Steak was a bad breakfast choice”? Wouldn’t it be nice if you and your buddy actually knew what you were trying to tell each other underwater? Check out our Diving Signals page and you’ll know whether it’s time to go up or if someone just needs a TUMS.

Have you ever been on a boat and had a couple of salty old guys next to you donning their gear and talking to each other in what sounds like some military-generated code? They probably aren’t from the CIA, they just speak SCUBA a little more fluently. Look up the translation on the Eco Dive Center Scuba Dictionary. |

Eco Dive Center has more charters than any shop
in Southern California...maybe even the world! We're diving every weekend of
the year so you can pick and choose what works best for you and the kind of
diving you want to do. Check out the kelp forests of Catalina and Anacapa, the
famous sea lion dives of Santa Barbara Island, the pristine environments of San
Miguel and Santa Rosa. Go to the Boat Schedule and get yourself signed up for a
Southern California diving adventure.
